Karitas
Karitas comes from the Latin word for compassion and love.
When I began creating these pieces, I didn’t set out with a clear plan. I thought I was simply making planter versions of my “Balance Girls,” but the process moved in its own direction. In the middle of sculpting, something unexpected happened, a subtle dragonfly revealed itself on the chest. I shaped it with intention, and it has since become one of the most meaningful detail for me.
Dragonflies have always been like guides in my life. Their presence often arrives in moments of change, like a reminder to trust the flow of life and embrace new beginnings. To have one naturally appear in Karitas felt like a gift, as if the piece itself wanted to carry that message.
Each sculpture now holds this spirit of compassion, love, and transformation, born of both intention and surprise. I invite you to connect with them in your own way and let them bring their quiet presence into your space.
Formas
Formas is a new line of pieces born from my love for clean and modern designs.
While I will always have a strong passion for sculpting expressive, figurative pieces, Formas pieces are the kinds of ceramics that I make for myself.
Individually hand-thrown and hand-built, they blend minimalism with abstract art. The pieces are shaped by texture and finished with experimental glazes that bring unexpected colors and surfaces to life.
Formas is about letting shape, texture, and glaze speak for themselves.
Modern, expressive, and one-of-a-kind.
Sol Collection
Balance Girls
While creating this collection, so many memories from my childhood in Puerto Rico came back to me, weekends in the countryside with my family, swimming all day in the river, surrounded by trees and stillness. I remember sitting on warm rocks, closing my eyes, and listening to the steady rhythm of the water. Even now, as an adult, I return to rivers when I need to feel whole again. Nature, especially rivers has always been where I find my balance.
Each piece in this collection is a reflection of that inner child. They take the shape of young girls with carefully balanced rocks on their heads, a symbol of the harmony we all carry within us.
Their faces are peaceful, with closed eyes and the softest smile, like they’re listening to something deeper, beyond the noise. When I look at them, I feel joy. I feel still. I feel like I’ve come home to myself.
This collection is an offering to that sacred connection we all have with nature and to the parts of us that remember how to flow, how to be still, and how to carry things without losing our center.
